Shorecrest School

Lights! Camera! Action!

Head of School Letter

This is the weekend that movie-lovers have been waiting for all year long. An evening full of fun and excitement, with interesting people and activities, awaits all members of the Shorecrest community. No, it isn’t the 92nd Academy Awards ceremony, slated for this Sunday night. Instead of the Oscars, we have the Chargers, coming together on Friday, March 25 for our very first Movie Night, presented by a collaboration between the Shorecrest Community Association (SCA) and the Shorecrest Fund.

Reminiscent of those summer nights at the drive-in, Disney’s "Encanto" will be shown outside of Charger Commons on the Gaffney Green. Entrance to the movie is free and we welcome all members of the Shorecrest community. Doors open at 6:30pm and the movie will start at sundown, with free popcorn and cotton candy. A variety of food trucks will be available to purchase entrees and treats. There will be activities, games, a photobooth and more! Bring a blanket or beach chair and enjoy a night under the stars, as we celebrate the start of spring and appreciate the chance to come together as a community on our beautiful campus.

I can’t wait to attend and I look forward to seeing you there!

All the best
Nancy
