You've Got a Friend in Me
While walking back from carline this morning and observing children heading to our building holding hands I thought about my comment during Back to School Night, in which I reminded all of you that your child is part of the Shorecrest network. When I said that I was referring to the myriad of academic connections and the possibilities that lie ahead.
What we cannot take for granted is the social network, one that starts with little hands holding each other and the feeling of having someone we can count on that is just the right size. Young hearts learning about connection. That is very special indeed.
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you're miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
You just remember what your old pal said
Boy, you've got a friend in me
Yeah, you've got a friend in me.
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You got troubles, I've got 'em too
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you
We stick together and see it through
'Cause you've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
