Volleyball Green Team Defeats ODA on Conference Day

On Thursday October 2, the Green Team faced Out-of-Door Academy for the second time this season in the Crisp Gym. The ladies came to play and avenged their earlier defeat to the Thunder. The first set began with Felina D serving for 11 straight points, including three aces. The ladies controlled the pace of the game by consistently having three touches on the ball. Julia G recorded two aces. Julia C and Felina D both accounted for two kills.
The second set was closer but the ladies never surrendered the lead. Great serving performances were given by Taylor A and Dylan W. Eighth grader Camille P-F recorded two kills. The ladies went on to win 25-21.
The Green Team has Come from Behind Win at Cambridge Christian

On Tuesday, the Green Team traveled to Cambridge Christian School in Tampa to face the Lancers for their second meeting of the year. The Chargers lost to the Lancers in September, and during the first set it looked as if the team was going to once again fall to Cambridge. At times during the first set the girls would put together a nice point but with no consistency. The ladies fell 9-25.
The second set was an entirely different story where the ladies did a 180° turn in their play. Strong serving performances were displayed by Grace L, and Cassandra F who had two aces in her string of five successful serves. The team also controlled the ball in the second set making it a priority to have three-touches on the ball. The ladies went on to win 25-14. With the ladies forcing a third set to decide the match the team continued their strong playing and took the third set 15-11. Great win Ladies!
