Cross Country at St. Pete City Championships

On a beautiful afternoon at Crescent Lake Park, Shorecrest Cross Country Chargers had an excellent showing. Olivia R., with some tough competition throughout the entire race, ran away with the race in the last half mile, earning the title of St. Petersburg City Champion! Isabelle S. was not far behind, placing 4th overall. Reilly K. set a career PR (Personal Record) in the race, placing 24th. Rounding out the Varsity Girls’ team, Jolie B. and Chloe P. ran their first Varsity race. They worked together throughout the race and placed 30th and 31st overall.

The girls’ team placed 2nd overall, a very impressive finish. Kyle H. had a breakthrough race, finally cracking the 18:00 barrier, racing to a 9th place finish in a time of 17:55.5. Greg G. placed 17th overall in the JV race.
