Pre-Relay Lunch & Countdown to Relay

If you’ve never been to a Pre-Relay For Life Lunch at Shorecrest, picture this: there are 600 students swarming around a few tables of food. They are all frantically trying to buy Chick-fil-A sandwiches, donuts, Tropical Smoothies, pizza, and Chipotle burritos before the teams sell out. The team members selling food are simultaneously handing out dishes, counting change, and ensuring they don’t run out of food. It’s a hectic scene, but it’s all for a purpose: to combat cancer.
This year, Pre-Relay Lunch was a huge success school-wide! The Lower School had a barbeque; Mr. Murphy and other faculty members grilled hot dogs for a huge crowd of parents and students. Every Middle School and Upper School team sold out of food! This event would not have been a success without the help of our teams, and we (the Relay Leads) would also like to thank Mr. Murphy and Karen Moore for their unconditional support. We also thank YOU - everyone who supported us during Pre-Relay Lunch. Events like these would not be possible without your generosity!
