The Junior Kindergartners returned from vacation to find some of their crops ready for harvesting. Two giant carrots, after being washed, peeled and cut, proved to be more than enough to feed Mrs. Jotch’s class, and the delicious taste brought huge smiles to their faces.
The basil plants were burgeoning so the girls and boys cut off enough leaves for all three classes to blend with garlic and olive oil to make pesto, which was added to pasta for an especially delicious snack.
