Start of School Forms
If you have not done so already, please complete and turn in all forms. To access start of school forms in PowerSchool, use the link from the Parent page of shorecrest.org: https://www.shorecrest.org/page/parents.

Backpack Option
ES families now have the option to purchase a backpack from Lands' End (either with or without the Shorecrest logo) to use instead of a tote bag if you would like to do so. This backpack can hold rest time things plus a lunchbox and snack. It comes in evergreen and may be found on the Lands' End website.

Morning Carline Volunteers Make a Difference
Consider starting your day by making sure children are welcomed to school and safely walked into the hand of a safety patrol. Working together, parent volunteers, school faculty, and administrators arrive early to open car doors, unbuckle students from their car seats, and walk them to the safety patrols. With the help of parent volunteers, carline will run more smoothly and safely. Please contact Rebecca Armacost [email protected] if you can volunteer any morning between 7:25 - 7:55am.

Full Day Dismissal Reminders
Thanks to all our parents for their patience. It takes a few days to make carline flow smoothly. Safety is our number one priority. Parents and guardians can improve the efficiency of dismissal by adhering to the following guidelines:
  • Place the car tag with child’s name on your lowered visor
  • Stay in your car and let the Shorecrest faculty buckle your child into their car seat
New Procedures:
  • Enter the right lane if you are picking up an Experiential School student and a Lower School sibling
  • Enter the left lane if you are picking up an Experiential student only
  • Follow the officer’s instructions. You may be directed into a different lane.
Heavy Rain Dismissal for Alpha
At 2:00pm if it is raining heavily, parents and guardians of Alpha students will receive an email indicating a 2:15pm pickup at Pratt Boulevard near the Library (same place as usual, just earlier). If it is lightning, then parents will be directed to the Alpha pickup location on the Charger side of the cottages. Alpha students with Lower School siblings will then drive around campus staying in the right lane to get in line for Lower School pick up at 2:45pm.

Heavy Rain Dismissal for JK
At 2:00pm if it is raining heavily with or without lightning, parents and guardians of JK students will receive an email indicating a 2:15pm pickup at the front of the Lower School. You will enter the campus on the Pratt Boulevard side, stay in the right lane and continue all the way around the school in the right-hand lane, bypassing the Lower School carline. You will be directed to turn left into the front faculty parking area. Children will be escorted from the north breezeway to their cars, which will then exit the campus by turning right into the north lane of Pratt Blvd. (unless the driver needs to circle back around for an older sibling).

Parents of JK students with LS siblings should arrive at 2:45pm and get in the Lower School carline on Charger.

If cars are directed on rainy days to pick up children in the front of the Lower School building, please stay in your car in line. DO NOT PARK. Visitor and faculty spots in the front parking lot are not to be used for arrival and dismissal. Parking in front of the building disrupts the flow of traffic and creates a dangerous situation.
