Kinder-Garden Begins to Flourish

Lower School News

While on a field study at Dolins Garden Center of St. Petersburg, the Kindergarten students selected plants that attract butterflies to create a butterfly garden outside of their hallway: milkweed plants, porterweeds and pentas.

This week, those plants made it into the ground after much work digging through the mango tree roots. Officer Moody and Officer Mike were on hand to help us out! Soon thereafter, kindergartners noticed a surprise in the garden... the first caterpillar on the milkweed plant! The children are very excited to see the garden come to life with caterpillars, bees, butterflies, and the continued growth of our new plants!
