MS at Model UN

On Saturday, December 13, the Shorecrest MS Model UN team attended the FHSMUN Sarasota Conference at Pine View School in Osprey, Florida. They competed against over thirty students from 4 other middle schools from across the state. Students represented a diverse group of countries, ranging from Australia and Germany to Chile, Democratic Republic of Congo and Trinidad. The conference topic was the refugee crisis in and around Syria.
This conference was a first for the majority of our team, and they had great results! Shorecrest brought home two of the four middle school awards. Raj S won Most Improved Delegate and Ryan H won Most Outstanding Delegate in her session.
