Studying Planet Earth

First Grade kicked off a new unit of study with a collaborative grade level morning meeting. We sat in a circle in the project room and greeted each other holding an inflatable globe and telling a fact we knew about Earth. Wow, did they have fun! Teachers are planning on getting together as a grade more regularly for Science study in the Project Room.

We introduced the students to Google Earth on our computers, and we will be utilizing this program on the iPads. This First Grade study of planet Earth and weather will continue until the end of January.
