Eighth graders traveled to the Muvico Theater in downtown St Petersburg on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, to see the movie "The Great White Shark 3D". The movie was part of the Blue Ocean Film Festival and Conservation Summit.
The goal of the movie was to demonstrate how sharks are not to be feared but respected and protected. Our students really enjoyed the opportunity to see sharks from a different perspective. The illustrations made by the eighth graders after their field trip represent the lasting impressions the movie had on them.
