What a way to close the year - with a fair as a project! Third and fourth graders prepared a Latin Fair as their last Spanish project. After studying different countries from Latin America, students designed games in Spanish about facts they learned. They also made all the decorations and prizes for the fair's visitors, according to the culture of the country they were representing. Some students even cooked Latin American dishes!
We also included people from our community. Latin American parents brought food and decorations from their countries and joined the children in the fair. Tampa Bay Rowdies players Junior Burgos from El Salvador and Eric Avila from Mexico took photos with students as well.
The fair's guests were kindergarten, first and second grade students. At the end of each class' visit, they had a chance to break a piñata! Students had a great time and learned about different countries in Latin America in a fun way! And the third and fourth graders did a fantastic job as Hosts. Bravo, third and fourth grade! They worked really hard and the work was reflected in their games, language skills, Latin culture, and how much fun everybody had!
