Chargers MS Football vs Out-of-Door Academy (ODA), October 11: Loss 12-42
After a great kickoff return by Trey M to start the game, the Chargers fought and battled with a tough ODA team. The Chargers established a strong running game early with great runs by Trey M and Drew B. The Chargers touchdown came on a 3rd and 10 play, with Drew taking the toss from Rogan K and connecting on a 60 yard TD pass to James F!
On the next ODA drive the Shorecrest defense bent but did not break. There were many great tackles by Partick, Jake W, Enzo P, Drew B, Cyrus A and Chase. Again Shorecrest found a balance on the running and passing game and it paid off. QB Rogan K hit James F on a 35 Yard Bomb and the score was now 15-12. Shorecrest again stopped the dangerous ODA offense with great plays again by Patrick, Drew, Cyrus, James, Trey and Jake W.
Shorecrest took the ball over with 3 minutes to go in the half on their 15 yard line. Trey M reminded everyone who he is to the Chargers, as he broke through and ran 45 yards. There were great blocks by Jake, Sasa, Cody, Chase and Patrick. On the 2nd down Rogan K threw a nice pass to Trey M who made the catch out of bounds, but the team wasn’t able to score.
Going into halftime, the Chargers were able to keep the score close at 22-12. The team battled the 2nd half of the game, but the final result was a 42-12 loss.
