Virtual Service Week Guidelines

Service News

Next week Upper School students and faculty will be participating in Service Week. The school expects that students choosing Virtual Service Week will spend the four days of Service Week (April 6-9) dedicated to serving others and their community. We place our trust in students and families that they will use this week to reflect on what it means to be a socially responsible citizen through serving others.

The following guidelines apply:
  • Students are to spend at least 5 hours/day on service activities approved by the school.
  • School approved opportunities may be found here: https://www.shorecrest.org/student-life/service/service-opportunities
  • Students will be truthful and honest in self-reporting their hours by Friday, April 9 at 3pm. Students enter their own hours through the student portal.
  • Students are expected to complete a minimum of 20 hours of service total by the end of Service Week.
  • Students may go beyond the 20 hour minimum, by choice.
Remember the yearly service requirement for students is 25 hours per year, 100 by graduation.
