Also securing victories with dominant performances were our number 2 singles player Olivia J ‘27 (6-4, 6-0) and our number 5 singles player Addison Cohoon ‘25 (7-5, 6-3). The match was decided by our number 4 singles player Alex M ‘26. After losing the first set Alex rallied to win the second set 6-1 and the third set tie breaker 10-6. Our number 1 singles Kareena Dua ‘24 and number 3 singles Lucille P ‘28 both lost hard-fought matches. Our number 2 doubles Lauren Majeski ‘22 and Lucille P ‘28 lost an extremely competitive match in a third set tie breaker.

About the tennis season, Coach Davis commented, “Coach Tommy and the girls were amazing in securing their second consecutive District Championship and Regional Finals advance.” He said, “Overall the program over the past 6 years is beginning to show consistent results. All of our players have to train year round and play tennis tournaments in order to continue to advance deep into the postseason State Championship series. The sooner we become teams where most of the players are training year round, getting private lessons and playing competitive UTR and USTA tournaments, the sooner we will see both teams advance to the State Championships series as teams." He concluded by saying, "Any way you look at it, it has been a spectacular season for both the girls and boys teams!"

The girls move on to Regional Finals against Berkeley Prep on April 21, 2022 at Lake Padgett Estates East, Land O'Lakes, Florida.
