Exploring Green Screen Technology

Experiential School News

The integration of art, music and technology during Studio time in The Experiential School reaches impressive levels due to Ms. Trayer's broad artistic skills and the children's fearless attitudes towards learning.

When Loris Malaguzzi wrote the beautiful "100 Languages of Children" poem I often reference, he invited us all to reflect on the potential for missing opportunities and moments of learning by ignoring children's unique ways of reading the world around them. Studio time provides children with opportunities for learning about techniques, relationships and expression.

This past week Ms. Trayer and several JK students explored the powerful possibilities of green screen technology. Chargers are singing, dancing, giving a speech, or acting and will have a background added to their performance. I don't know about you, but I don't remember doing anything remotely close to this when I was 4!
