Shorecrest Journalists Honored

Upper School News

Members of The Chronicle, the Shorecrest Upper School student newspaper, won 14 All-Florida ratings at the Florida Scholastic Press Association's Spring Contests (and many more Excellent and Honorable Mention ratings). The contest period was from March 2024-February 2025.

The All-Florida rating is the highest rating a student can get and puts them in the running for the best story/page/photo of the year for each category in the state of Florida. Those will be announced at FSPA's Spring Convention.

Please congratulate the following All-Florida Winners and take a look again at the stories/pages they won for:

The team just received two certificates. One award was for a Certificate of Merit for a Sports News article by Luke Lavoie '26: "Tackling Questions About Shorecrest Football." The other award was for Second Place (in the nation) for a Photography Portfolio of Work by Cole Goldenberg '25. The Chronicle is honored to have these amazing journalists on our staff!
