A Seed of Kindness

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King and his inspiration to a day of service, each class in the Lower School drew the name of another class to carry out an act of kindness within the Shorecrest community. Mrs. Minke's kindergarten selected Mrs. Husenitz's fourth grade class, and decided to sew fleece pillows for their reading and relaxing enjoyment.
The children each took a turn at the sewing machine foot pedal, turning the pillow right side out and stuffing it full and plump. The most exciting part was delivering the pillows and reading the book "A Seed of Kindness" to our fourth grade friends.
