The Kind Mouse Food Drive

Lower School News Experiential School News

Community service is important and students are given opportunities to think about how they can help their classroom community, our Lower School community, the Shorecrest community, the local community, and the global community. The Kind Mouse is a local food pantry serving Pinellas County families in transition. It provides non-perishable foods for children so they don't go hungry over the weekend. Participating in a food drive is one way we can help our local community.

ES and LS will collect food for The Kind Mouse October 13-November 15. This partnership started seven years ago. Let’s join together and give our students the opportunity to help others in need and show them what we can do as a community who cares about each other and the well being of others.

Starting October 13 LS is collecting the following:
Fourth grade -- jars of baby food for the Mouse Babies distribution.
Third grade -- Vienna sausages, single-serving pasta, tuna pouches or Beanee Weenees.
Second grade -- pudding cups, jello cups and single-serve peanut butter cups.
First grade -- granola bars, protein bars, and cracker packs (such as Lance).
Kindergarten -- fruit snacks and individual size cereal.

A bin to collect any of the items will be located at the main entrance of The Experiential School.

Thank you in advance for considering helping those in need.
