Mark Brown named Director of Enrollment Management
Shorecrest Preparatory School is pleased to announce that Mark Brown has been named the Director of Enrollment Management. After meeting with a number of impressive external candidates, it became increasingly clear that Mark, the Interim Director since January, was the best person for the job.
Prior to becoming Interim Director, Mark was the Associate Director of Enrollment Management, a position he began in 2022. A seasoned independent school professional, Mark joined Shorecrest in 2018 from the Bolles School in Jacksonville as an Upper School social studies teacher and track and field coach. Marks holds a Master of Arts focused on teaching, leadership, and cultural competence from the University of Iowa; and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Florida State University, where he also competed on the FSU track and field team.
Mark and his wife, Taylor, have two children currently enrolled at Shorecrest - Ellie '37, and Danny '35 - and their youngest, Charlotte, will be in Alpha starting in August.
With his first-hand knowledge of the Shorecrest curriculum and culture, and his proven aptitude for the Admissions function, Mark will undoubtedly help in attracting and retaining the best-fit students and families for Shorecrest.
