June 22, 2020
Chargers Athletics summer training/conditioning has been cleared by the FHSAA to begin on the Shorecrest campus on Monday, June 15. Due to the most current guidelines set forth by the Shorecrest Health & Safety Task Force, access to athletic facilities is limited to approved coaches, groups and employees.
Our new Head Boys Basketball Coach, Barry Bearden, intends to begin open gym/development sessions when he arrives in July. The dates/times will be published once confirmed.
We hope to increase availability of the athletic facilities as we progress through the summer. Updates will be posted to the Athletics webpage.
Those not competing on a Fall team who would like weightroom access should contact Athletic Director Anthony McCall at [email protected].
- Coaches with planned training/conditioning sessions will reach out to members of their team/sport to inform them of scheduled sessions on campus.
- Maximum group size is 9 athletes per 1 coach per session.
- Fall sports teams will have priority during training/conditioning times in order to ensure teams prepping for competition will have ample time to prepare.
- Full details are available in the Health and Safety Statement
Athlete/Family Requirements
- All student-athletes are required to bring their own water bottles. Coolers will be available for refills.
- Student-athletes must come dressed for training/conditioning; there will be no access to locker rooms.
