Sarah Lankford '22 State Championship Banner Reveal

On November 15, 2020, everyone present at the 1A State Swim and Dive Meet witnessed an incredible performance by Sarah Lankford '22! She earned 1st place in the 200 Free (1:49.21) and 3rd place in the 500 Free (4:55.36). These times broke her own school records in both events.
A season marked by hard work, determination and countless hours in the pool culminated in a State Championship for Sarah. Her accomplishments have increased the Shorecrest Chargers Swim and Dive team’s footprint as the most dominant team in our county and one of the most notable in the state. According to her head coach, Patty Nardozzi, “Sarah set her goal, worked incredibly hard in practice towards that goal, and then had one of the gutsiest swims I ever watched - to achieve that goal. The entire team celebrates this wonderful accomplishment with her!”
Sarah, Shorecrest celebrates your great accomplishments and thanks you for how you represent the Chargers when you compete. In addition to the memories you’ve provided in the pool, we honor you with the unveiling of a state championship banner which will be a constant reminder for all those who enter the Crisp Gym of your remarkable achievement.
