Service Week 2015 Introduced

Upper School students learned about the proposed international and national trips for 2015 Service Week during an assembly last Friday.
Senior boys peppered Mr. Schneider with questions about the 3rd annual Great Smoky Mountains National Park Adventure. Mr. Murphy has led the trip along with Mr. Schneider, where a group of boys experience winter camping and work for the National Park Service helping prepare campgrounds and trails for season.
Mr. Wahlgren fielded questions about the planned trip to Argentina through Global Works, taking a group of Shorecrest students there for the first time.
A listing of the local programs will be posted online Thurs. Sept. 25, after students hear more about the programs on Wed. Sept. 24 at the assembly during Community Time.

Thurs. Oct. 2 - Sophomores
Fri. Oct. 3 - Freshman

Students will receive Policy Statement/Release forms on Oct. 8 to take home and return with parent signatures by Oct. 15 to confirm participation and guarantee registration.
