Tuesday, October 16: Design Thinking in Lower School, a Parent Session brought to you by SCA, presented by Dominique Craft, 8:15–9:45am in the JRT Lobby. Light breakfast will be served. Feel free to bring your little ones!
Friday, October 19: Parent/Guardian breakfast right after drop off at Cassis, 170 Beach Dr NE, St. Pete. ALSO Shorecrest Mom's Night Out Luau.

Thursday, November 8: Fall Conference Day - No School for all school; SCA Uniform Sale
A SCA Used Uniform Sale will be on November 8 (Fall Conference Day) from 7:30am-2pm in the lobby of the Janet Root Theatre. SCA is collecting any used uniforms you may like to donate. Please drop the uniforms off in the Experiential School office, the Lower School office or the Middle School office. Please contact Merilee Abinales at [email protected] if you would like to volunteer on set-up day, November 7th at 12:30pm or during the sale.
Fall Conference Sign Up
November 8 is a scheduled conference day for all Experiential School parents/guardians. Log in to https://shorecrest.learning.powerschool.com today and sign up for a Fall Conference on the teacher’s webpage for your child’s class. Appointment times will be offered in 30-minute increments. Fall and spring conferences will be the same appointment time, so when you sign up, you are scheduling the appointment time for both conferences. Contact the teacher via email if you need to schedule a parent-teacher conference on an alternative date.
During the conference, the teacher will share your student’s portfolio to communicate progress in all areas of development (cognitive, social and emotional, personal, fine motor, gross motor) and make their learning visible. Teachers will discuss children’s growth, both as an individual student and as a classroom member. Strengths and areas needing support will be communicated and an action plan will be formed if needed.
Registration for School Closed Child Care
Plan ahead for conference day child care. School is not in session on November 8, but child care for the half or full day is available by advance reservation. You must register a week in advance to reserve a space. Click here, to sign up https://shorecrest.campbrainre
Pratt Morning Carline Ends at 8am
Please arrive at school before 8am so that school faculty and patrols are on hand to greet and walk your child to class. After 8am, parents/guardians must park and sign in their Experiential School student. Alpha students should be signed in at the Haskell Library. Parents/Guardians should wait with their child until a faculty member comes to walk them to class. Depending on the time of late arrival, JK students should be signed in at either the Library Desk or the Lower School Office. Please check your child’s schedule on their teacher’s PowerSchool page to determine the correct location. Lower School siblings will need to be signed in at the Lower School Office.
Volunteer Orientation
The ES faculty and students look forward to welcoming parent/guardian and grandparent volunteers into our classrooms. If you were not able to attend the Volunteer Training & Orientation, please view the PowerPoint (click here) and let Dr. Danyali know if you have any questions.
After Care is Hiring
Shorecrest is looking to fill After Care positions this school year. We are especially interested in adults who are teachers or retired teachers. Please share the information with those who might be interested. The job description is on the website at https://www.shorecrest.org/
Poetry in the Park
The event for Alpha through fourth grade will be held in the Faculty Garden, which is across from the Janet Root Theatre, unless it rains. We have scheduled thirty minutes in between sessions for parking purposes. At the end of each share visitors will need to depart in order to make room for parents/guardians coming to the next show unless they are staying to watch their other children or child perform. (We recommend that siblings are not taken out of class.) Uber/ride sharing may also work well for you. The estimated start and stop times for our shares are:
