In math, Kindergartners have been learning about different ways to sort. This week we read the book The Button Box by Margarette S. Reid. The students sorted a box of buttons by different characteristics including color, shape, size, texture, number of holes and thickness. The students enjoyed coming up with different ways to sort the buttons. We shared all the different ways. For a twist the students sorted their cup of buttons and we tried to guess how they chose to sort their cup of buttons. The children enjoyed having a chance to guess how their friends sorted!
