On Wednesday, Dr. Lee Friedman, an interventional radiologist and first grade Charger dad, visited as a guest expert during first grade's in-depth study of the human body. During his very informative presentation, the students were able to view chest x-rays of the heart and lungs and x-rays of the spine, head, legs, hands and feet.
Among the x-rays of broken vs. normal bones, they saw an x-ray of a broken femur - the heaviest and strongest bone in the human body! Dr. Friedman even had 3-D and HD pictures of various parts of the body as well as a baby still in the mother's womb!
Thank you, Dr. Friedman, for sharing your expertise with first grade!
