Relay For Life Lower School Links, Final Week

Lower School News

Relay For Life is just around the corner (March 13th!) To help raise money to benefit American Cancer Society, Shorecrest is kicking off its annual Links Project in the Lower School. This project is one way in which your children can participate in our fundraising efforts. If your child brings in money to their teacher, they will receive a colored paper link. The links are then joined together to make a class chain. On the day of Relay, the class chains are hung around the track.

The class that raises the most funds will be rewarded with a special party. Participation in the Links Project is optional.

Some ways students have helped raise money to participate in the past include running a lemonade stand, walking a neighbor's dog, or doing extra chores around the house. Students are encouraged to earn the money for their donation.

Donation envelopes will be picked up each Tuesday morning beginning January 21. If you have donations, please leave your envelope in the Lower School office with Mrs. Johnston or Mrs. Lotz. We will leave a new collection envelope in your box for the new week. Additional strips will also be available in the office if you need them.

Dark Purple = $1.00
Light Purple = $5
Pink = $10
White Links = $20

If you have any questions about the project, please contact Paper Links project chairs Lilianna Baralt ‘21 ([email protected]) or Sofia Marston ‘21 ([email protected]).
