If you ask a third grader from Mrs. Hobbs' class what they did last month, some of the answers will include:
- We did an experiment to find out how many drops of water can fit on a penny (during an introduction to the scientific method.)
- We went to the "wishing tree" to measure around the trunk in order to find out how old the tree is.
- We played at recess. (Well, of course!)
- We presented paragraphs based on the "Best Part of Me" book. We stood on a stool in front of the class to read them. (On Dr. Bianco's Twitter here, here and here.)
- We used play dough to relax.
- We played math games and presented math work to the class.
- We made clocks to remember how to tell time.
