Shorecrest at 4th Annual TriMathlon

On October 18, nineteen Shorecrest 2nd-5th graders competed in the 4th Annual TriMathlon at the St. Pete Mathnasium, a Shorecrest Business Partner. These students, eagerly participated in 3 different math events on a Saturday morning. The events included: “The Counting Game,” “Magic Squares,” and “Mental Math.” Shorecrest had the most participants of any school and received a $10 donation per student.

Third grader Cameron T won for his grade level! With Mrs. Howell’s encouragement, there were eight 5th grade participants. All of the Mathletes agreed it was challenging but fun!
