Vermicompost Bins in for our Garden
February 06, 2015
The contents of the fourth grade compost bins have been decomposing significantly, but were in need of a good mix up. After using their muscles, students prepared a perfect home for 400 new red wiggler worms that have an important job to do!
First, students explored the worms in the classroom. Soon after, they placed them in the bins and watched these hard workers inch their way down into the decomposed matter and take residence. Our students can proudly say that they officially have vermicompost bins and they think that's pretty cool.
