On Monday, first grade visited the Florida Aquarium in Tampa as a kick-off to a new in-depth study of the ocean and its inhabitants. The children so enjoyed the field experience and are excited to start their study.
Shorecrest students observed many different species of ocean life - from invertebrates, to fish, marine mammals, shorebirds, and more. Plus, there were several touch tanks – big and small - where we were able to touch and feel the different animals. No doubt, we have several marine biologists in the making!
Thank you to parent volunteer BA Beatty for sharing her wonderful photos of the trip.
