Chargers Swim & Dive had a great home meet this past Wednesday against large public schools, St. Pete and Seminole. On the girls side, tied after the 50 Free, our divers pulled us ahead with Sophie E. taking a win. After the break we were tied again after the 100 Free thanks to Hannah B. winning the 100 Free.

Also winning events against St. Pete were Reagan Q. (500 Free) and Clara W. (100 Back). The 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay (Clara W., Courtney C., Taylor E. and Hannah B.) were again winners in these events.

Against Seminole we picked up a win in the 200 Free (Hannah B.) and 100 Breast (Courtney C.) to take the overall win for that match-up.

Shorecrest boys team dominated both teams with Caleb K. winning 200 events (200 Free, 100 Fly), Pablo C. taking the 200 IM, Dominic H. won the diving, Joseph B. the 500 Free and David S. the 100 Breast.  The three relays dominated St. Pete with wins in the 200 Medley (Misha M., Pablo C., Caleb K., Joseph B.), 200 Free (Jack L., Max K., Misha M., Jake A.) and the 400 Free (Caleb K., Jake A., Pablo C., and Joseph B.).

Against Seminole we picked up an additional win with Pablo C. taking the 100 Back.  Congratulations to both teams on this accomplishment!

The Chargers Middle School team's varsity future is looking bright as both the boys and girls team won their meet on Monday night, besting second place Berkeley Prep on the girls side 161 to 84 and on the boys side 112 to 110.

Winning two events each were Ainsley B. (100 Free, 50 Breast) and Claire E. (100 IM, 50 Fly). Winning one event was Mariyah S. (50 Free). The 200 Medley Relay (Stella P., Ainsley B., Claire E. and Mariyah S.) also took first place. While the boys individually or on relays win any events, plenty of points were scored in the next two to four places which gave us the two point advantage. Way to go Shorecrest!

The Middle School team is back in action on Monday at a Canterbury hosted meet and varsity hosts Tampa Prep on Tuesday. Go Chargers!
