Cross Country at Don Bishop Invitational

On a fast course with slightly less humid conditions, the Shorecrest Chargers Cross Country runners reaped the rewards of recent tough workouts at the Don Bishop Invitational.
Kyle H. set a career PR (Personal Record) on the 5K course with a speedy 18:07, and placed 28th out of 200 runners. Kyle led the Boys’ Varsity team, made up of Jimmy W., Greg G., Noah S., Carter V., and Thomas M., to a 20th place finish. Jimmy, Noah and Greg also set season PR’s in the race. Cam L. and Ben N. both set career PR’s in the boys JV race.

Olivia R. had a banner week. She placed 4th in a very fast field, setting a season PR of 19:31 on the 5K course. This follows her win at the Mitchell Invitational two weeks ago, which earned her Bright House Sports Network’s Athlete of the Week recognition. Isabelle S. had a strong outing as well, racing to a season PR and 19th place in a field of well over 100 runners.
