

SWIM & DIVE SHINES AT STATE MEET

The Shorecrest Chargers Swim & Dive team had great success at this past weekend’s 1A State Meet!
Leading the team with an individual 6th place finish was Dominic H. with his 415.75 points scored in a very competitive diving competition. Contributing to the Chargers overall 16 place finish for the boys was Caleb K. with a 7th place finish in the 200 IM with a personal best time in prelims of 1:55.59. Also reaching the medal stand was the 400 Free Relay (Caleb K., Pablo C., Misha M. and Joseph B.) with a season best 3:15.10 swum in prelims. Caleb K. also competed in the 100 Fly in prelims and Joseph B. swam a prelim 500 Free. Carlos G. was an excellent alternate and cheerleader for the team.

Leading the girls team to an overall 23rd place was Sophie E. with a 7th place finish in diving with 366.00 points. The ladies 400 Free Relay (Taylor E., Reagan Q., Emery C. and Sarah L.) swam a season best 3:40.44 in prelims and finished 11th overall. Taylor E. also competed in the 200 IM and 100 Fly in prelims as did Sarah L. in the 200 and 500 Free. Many thanks to Claire E. for the dedication to the alternate position and cheering on her teammates.
The season is over, but one event remains. The Chargers will celebrate together this Sunday at our annual team banquet!
