Kim Hudson (former Receptionist) has moved into the role of Assistant Director of Admissions. Kim has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from The United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University. She has had an interesting career as a Military Intelligence Officer, a security specialist, a consultant and most recently as a Grammar and Writing Instructor. She brings experience with Admissions from her previous role along with insight into the Shorecrest community as a parent of three Chargers. She replaces Sandy Waldron, who has moved to pursue higher education at Michigan State University
Terry Kessel has been helping to revamp and organize our Summer Programs the past few months. She has started a new position with Shorecrest as Director of Auxiliary Programs. Terry holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Arcadia University and has 20 years of experience in Educational Leadership, most recently as Director of Middle School and Assistant Head of School for Professional Development at Friends Select School in Philadelphia.
Raquel Ferreira will join the Athletic Department as Head Varsity Volleyball Coach. She graduated from Concordia University, Irvine with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science in 2007. A native of Brazil, she joined the Brazilian Junior National team at just 15-years-old. By 20, she was playing professionally in Belgium. A year later she came to the US and won a Junior College National Championship at Barton Community College (Great Bend, KS) and was named All-American & MVP at the National Championship. She transferred to Concordia University in Irvine, California, where her team once again made it to the National Championship Finals. She was named an All-American and both the NAIA Tournament MVP and Player of the Year. She has extensive coaching experience including a 2014 National Championship team.
