Kindergarteners were given wood forms of all shapes and sizes to use to construct sculptures of animal or human figures. They needed to envision which forms would be best suited for their creations. As they explored with the wood and added details, the characters became more apparent. The students drew details with Sharpies and painted the pieces with liquid watercolors. They are charming, funny, and sophisticated creations!
The kindergarteners were so proud to display them and celebrate with an opening art reception in the new Lower School gallery outside the Art Studio and SAC. View photos here.
