Volleyball Weekly Update

Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Girls Volleyball vs. St. Pete High: Win! 3-2
"I am so proud of our team and their performance on Tuesday night," shared Coach Taksas. "They came ready to play, they stayed composed even when things were not going their way. The fight they showed was so impressive. We were down in the 5th set 9-12 and they just kept believing. I believe in this team and what they are capable of." 

Christina Satterfield '25 had 23 Kills, 9 Blocks, 4 Aces, 1 Block. Morgan Harrington '27 had 11 Kills, 3 Blocks, 3 Digs, 1 Assist. Hayden Z. '29 had 40 Assists, 11 Digs, 2 Blocks, 2 Kills, 1 Ace.

JV Volleyball vs. St. Pete High School: Win! 2-1
The Chargers came into this home match with great energy and intensity. They have been gaining momentum in practice and it's translating into game play. Each player contributed to key plays, allowing us to bring home the win.

Sara Ferris '28 played an excellent match with 17 assists, 4 digs and 3 aces. Lucy H. '29 led the team in kills, scoring 7. Hazel Needler '28 did a standout job in the back row, passing great in serve receive and bringing in a handful of key digs.

JV Volleyball vs. Clearwater Central Catholic: Win! 2-0
The Chargers played a great match, remaining disciplined and focused against our opponent. This match continued a streak of home games wins for the JV girls volleyball team. Avary Fleming '28 led the team in kills with five. Sara Ferris '28 had 12 assists. Jesse Diner '28 had five digs.
