Swimming and Diving Weekly Update

Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Girls and Boys Swimming & Diving vs. Clearwater Central Catholic High School: Girls - Shorecrest 162, Clearwater Catholic 113. Boys - Shorecrest 193, Clearwater Catholic 76. 
It was great to get the first win for the girls team and a great job by all of the Chargers who scored points in every event to do this. The Boys were very strong and it was good to race a team that is in our new district. "It was a team effort all the way!" said Coach Patty.

The Girls and Boys teams won all three relays. Izzy Riva '27 won two events (200 & 100 Free); one event winners: Amelia Daley '28 (50 Free), Evelyn Gaffney '28 (Diving), Valentina H. '31 (500 Free), Sabrina Everhart '25 (100 Breast). Boys who won two events: Maddox Matyas '26 (200 & 500 Free), Leonard Ho '28 (200 IM, 100 Fly), Anton Ho '26 (50 Free & 100 Free); and Milan Spodin '28 won the 100 Back.

Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Girls and Boys Swimming & Diving vs. Admiral Farragut and Canterbury: Girls - Shorecrest 120, Canterbury 34; Shorecrest 73, Admiral Farragut 107. Boys - Shorecrest 117, Canterbury 51; Shorecrest 87, Admiral Farragut 83.

The Chargers put forth a great effort and had some excellent swims and a few best times. "At mid-point in the season it is nice to see progress and success individually and as a team," Coach Patty shared. "Nice to chalk up double wins for the boys, especially against Admiral Farragut as it was very close."     

The Girls won the 200 Medley Relay. The Boys won the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay. Izzy Riva '27 won the girls 500 Free, Zoi Ricalde '28 won her Diving event, Sabrina Everhart '25 won the 100 Back. Maddox Matyas '26 won the boys 100 Free, Anton Ho '26 won the 100 Fly.
