Shorecrest is pleased to announce that Sabrina Everhart '25 has been named a semifinalist for the Cooke College Scholarship, a highly competitive national college scholarship. Recipients are eligible for benefits up to $55,000 per year for up to four years, as well as college planning support, academic advising, career and graduate school advising and networking opportunities.

Shorecrest Director of College Counseling Myra Simpson shared, "Sabrina's selection as a semifinalist for the Cooke College Scholarship is another affirmation of what faculty and staff have been privileged to witness over her time at Shorecrest. Sabrina is an exceptional scholar, leader, and citizen who embodies the values of the School. She has set a high standard for future Shorecrest graduates."

Sabrina is one of 571 semifinalists from across the nation. Students applied from all 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and Virgin Islands — representing more than 4,200 different high schools.

"These students have shown remarkable dedication to their academic pursuits, and we're honored to recognize their achievements as we continue our mission of making college accessible to exceptional students with financial need," said Seppy Basili, Executive Director of the Cooke Foundation.

Cooke College Scholars are selected based on exceptional academic ability and achievement, financial need, persistence, leadership, and service to others. The 2025 Cooke College Scholarship recipients will be announced in late March.
