Ana Verano '27 Awarded for Writing

Shorecrest Upper School is proud to announce that Ana Verano '27, Current Events Editor for The Chronicle - Shorecrest Upper School's student newspaper, recently won a "Best in School Newspapers Online (SNO)" award for her feature entitled "The Chosen One" about State Champion swimmer (and prior Shorecrest student) Izzy Riva. Read it here on The Chronicle website.

The article was also reposted on the SNO Sites website (the industry standard in website platform creators for scholastic journalism). Getting a story published on Best of SNO is difficult. They "receive over 100 submissions per day, and only about 15% are selected for publication." Ana's article and others will be submitted for more awards in the spring.
