This past Saturday, October 10, the Outdoor Club hosted its first camping trip of the 2015-2016 school year, and it was a blast!
About a dozen Chargers kayaked out from Fort Desoto on Saturday morning and set up camp on Shell Key, a beautiful place for camping enthusiasts. Everyone participated in the set up, the cooking, the kayaking, and of course, the fun! They all had an amazing time.
"Some were saying that this was the best out-of-school club activity that they have ever done, and that says something when you compare it to all of the exciting things that Shorecrest has to offer." sophomore Hunter H, the club's Communication Expert, commented.
These trips, while not extremely frequent, will be happening a few times throughout the year, so if you are an Upper School student and want to attend, show your interest now, because space is limited. Tell Mr. Steele or Ms. Walker ASAP!
