Three Shorecrest Seniors Recognized as National Merit Commended Students

Shorecrest seniors Max Baschinsky '25, Carson Granese '25 and Paul Schratwieser '25 have been named National Merit Commended Students. They were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation for their exceptional scores on the 2023 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation place among the top scorers of more than 1.3 million students who entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship competition, scoring in the top 3% nationwide.
Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, some may be candidates for over 700 Special Scholarships offered by corporate sponsors.
These scholars are in addition to the recently announced National Merit Semifinalist from the Shorecrest Class of 2025.
