Student Art Sells BIG at Auction

In 2006, supporters of Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg came together for the first Friends & Flowers event to benefit the school. The women present enjoyed an afternoon of designing floral arrangements and female camaraderie. As this event blossomed, it became Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg’s Five Fabulous Females, a luncheon that honors five women in the Tampa Bay community, celebrates the leadership and community engagement of women, and supports the scholarship program at Academy Prep.
Shorecrest freshman Angel C. had a painting in the Five Fabulous Females auction this year. It was the inspiration piece for the event's theme as well. The sale of the painting brought in a $2000 donation for Academy Prep!
