Shorecrest Night at the Symphony

Last Saturday evening, Mr. Updike and Mr. Heller chaperoned 20 Upper School students to the Mahaffey Theatre to listen to a program of Brahms, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Liszt. Mr. Updike's students were treated to a dinner talk by Joseph Beverly, the 3rd clarinetist of the Florida Orchestra, and all students attended the pre-concert talk. In a word, all attendees had a terrific time and as word spread, many other students have expressed an interest in going to another concert in February.
We would like to make this a "Shorecrest goes to the Symphony event," which would include parents. If you are interested in learning more please contact Mr. Updike or Mr. Heller.
