Cross Country Chargers Run towards Regionals

Upper School News


The Cross Country Chargers continue to run towards the State Finals.

On Friday, October 19, the teams competed in the CCC Invitational. The Girls Varsity continued their success by winning the CCC Invitational and bringing home the Championship Trophy! Isabelle Saunders '20 finished 4th, followed by Lili S '25 finishing 5th, and Sabrina Aboud '22 finishing 11th. The boys team ran well and placed in the top 5. Gregory Glasscock '21 once again led the way with Aidan Samuelson '19 and Sebastian Hasbun '21 not far behind.  

Wednesday, October 24, the team traveled to Bradenton to compete in the District Championship. With a field of 12 teams, teams must finish in the top 5 in order to move onto the Regional Meet. Our boys team ran very well, with every one of our runners finishing with a new PR! As a team, we fell just short of qualifying for the Regional meet. Gregory G lead the way for the Chargers and finished 18th. 

The girls team ran to a 3rd place team finish and qualified for the Regional Meet on Friday, November 2, in Gainesville. Isabelle S was the District Runner-Up with a 2nd place finish and Lili S was able to pass 8 runners on her way to a 3rd place finish!
