Cross Country at City Championships

On October 5, the Cross Country Chargers competed in the St. Petersburg City Championships. The runners all ran well and many were able to obtain new PRs.
With only four JV girls running, the Chargers were not able to have a team score. However, two of the girls placed in the top 10. Ellen H '26 placed 3rd and Gabi H '23 placed 10th. The boys JV team ran to a 4th place team finish.
The varsity boys all managed to run their fastest times of the year and finished 4th as a team. The varsity girls, with two of our top runners missing, were able to run to 2nd place as a team.
Shorecrest had three runners place in the top 10, including the City Champion for 2019, Lili S '25. Sabrina A '22 finished 6th, and Alex E '26 finished 9th.
"The Chargers all had a great day of competition and we look forward to the upcoming District meet on October 24," coach Raab said optimistically.
