The Shorecrest Board of Trustees has approved the plans to move forward with the completion of the second floor of Charger Commons and construction of the Weiss Family Pavilion, an outdoor meeting/performance venue in the Greenspace of Charger Commons. These projects are made possible by generous support from our community - thank you!
This next round of campus improvements provides Shorecrest with more flexible, open and safe indoor learning spaces amidst continued concerns for COVID-19. The outdoor space created by the Weiss Family Pavilion provides this same level of flexibility and safety. Listed below is important safety and logistical information for Shorecrest community members.
Timeline:
If you have questions about the project, including logistical info or how to get involved, please contact Director of Advancement Michael Gillis by phone at 727-522-2111 Ext. 104 or by email [email protected].

Timeline:
- Construction is set to begin December 19, 2020, with much progress over Winter Break.
- If all continues to go well, these new spaces will be completed by August 2021.
- Our construction company, iConstructors, has created a new, isolated entrance by the Charger Commons loading dock which allows designated access to the construction site. There will be no contact between students and crew.
- We will provide monitored crew parking along the south side of campus adjacent to Charger Commons.
- Crew hours and delivery schedules have been adjusted to accommodate and protect our daily carline in both the morning and afternoon.
- There will be around 30-60 workers on campus each day. They will arrive before our carline starts and leave after the completion of the school day.
- iConstructors will provide a list of all workers on campus each day to our GardaWorld officers. iConstructors will independently conduct background checks and COVID-19 pre-screening and testing of all workers.
- Every worker must check in daily with iConstructors to receive a color wristband confirming they have been screened for COVID-19. The color of the band changes each day, to ensure that everyone has been appropriately screened.
