Amazing Results for Varsity Swim and Dive at District Meet

Shorecrest Chargers Varsity Swimming and Diving competed at the FHSAA 1A District 5 Championship Meet. The Chargers Girls were named District Champions with 388 Points! The Chargers Boys were District Runners Up with 295 Points.
The entire team had a great meet and almost everyone had personal bests. The Girls 400 Free Relay team were District Champions (Sarah Lankford '22, Kate Rutledge '23, Ainsley Burke '23, Sasha Schratwieser '24) and all Girls and Boys Relays advanced to the Regional Meet!
Sarah Lankford '22 was District Champ in the 200 Free. She also broke the Shorecrest record in the 100 Free with a time of 52.51. Sasha Schratwieser '24 was District Champ in the 100 Free and Ainsley Burke '23 was District Champ in the 100 Breaststroke.
Advancing to the Regional Meet:
Girls - Ainsley Burke '23, Aurora Goldish-DeSanto '23, Devyn Kropf '22, Sarah Lankford '22, Rose Leary '23, Ellie Lewis '22, Stella Pagano '22, Kate Rutledge '24, Sasha Schratwieser '24.
Boys - Alex Besecker '23, Gabe Besecker '23, William Brockman '24, Jake Diner '25, Brendan Fraher '23, Anton H. '26, Maddox M. '26, Michael M. '27, Ethan S. '26 and Duncan Walsh '22.
"Qualifying as many swimmers and divers as we did from this fast district was quite an accomplishment. Great job Chargers Swim & Dive!" exclaimed and excited Coach Nardozzi.
