Amazing Results for Jr. Thespians at Florida State Festival!

Jr. Thespian Troupe 88197, directed by Mrs. McCarthy, took their qualifying acts to the Florida State Jr. Thespian Festival last Friday and Saturday. At the closing ceremony it was announced by the International Thespian Society that the Florida State Festival has officially become the largest theatre festival for middle school students with over 4000 qualified attendees from twelve districts. 
 
Shorecrest sixth grader Cían M. had the honor of representing District 11 with his solo performance at both opening ceremonies on Friday evening. His performance of "Electricity," a song composed by Elton John and Lee Hall for Billy Elliot the Musical, earned a state level Honorable Mention
