Pro Theatre Prep Camp Registration Still Available

Arts

Now in its 16th year, Pro Theatre Prep is a fun, intensive, multi-discipline Theatre training program taught by local professionals and guest instructors from Broadway, Hollywood and London's West End. The curriculum differs from year to year, but always focuses on elements of acting, singing, dancing and improvisation for the stage or film.

Program Directors Cheryl Lee and Bill Leavengood '78 invite you to join them June 3-7. Classes run Monday-Friday, 9:00-4:00, with a showcase presentation on Friday at 3:00pm. Open enrollment is offered for high school students. Middle School students, ages 11-13, who have not participated in a Shorecrest Middle School musical production are required to audition to be accepted into the program.

This year, PTP is pleased to welcome Roxanne Faye and Constantine Grame as our Special Guest Instructors. Ms. Faye will be focusing on Shakespeare and performing classical material. Mr. Grame will be focusing on Vocal Technique and Coaching and material from the Shakespearean parody, SOMETHING ROTTEN. Cheryl Lee will be focusing on Musical Theatre Jazz and Tap, and Bill Leavengood will be focusing on Monologue Selection and Coaching with a focus on finding good classical monologues (plus some Improvisation time as well).

Enroll online at www.shorecrest.org/summer or contact Bill Leavengood ([email protected]) or Cheryl Lee ([email protected]) with any questions and/or more information.
